U.S.S. Alaska Warship and Her Personnel, 1879 and 1880

 

The USS Alaska was a wooden-hulled screw sloop of war, launched on 31 October 1868, commissioned on 8 December 1869, and decommissioned 13 February 1883. This was the first of four Navy ships to be named USS Alaska.
